IPVanish is based in the United States, and its scores are yellow rather than red: it works, but a competitor does each thing better. Streaming is its weakest result; it unblocked some libraries in my checks and missed others.
Price and Trustpilot are ties at 7 and 8. IPVanish's TrustScore was 4.0 to NordVPN's 4.2 when I checked, and both round to 8.

Cost and connections. IPVanish advertises $2.39 a month on its two-year plan, $57.36 up front, and allows unlimited simultaneous connections. NordVPN is $3.49 a month and $94.23 for 27 months. Month to month they are the same, $14.99. If you want a VPN on every device in a large household and the budget decides, IPVanish is the cheaper way to do it.
