Why I made this

Because every "best VPN" list I found was an affiliate page in disguise.

When I went looking for a VPN, every top-ten list ranked the same providers in roughly the same order, and every one of them earned a commission on the click. The scores were vague, the "winners" were the ones with the biggest payouts, and the actual price was buried under a countdown timer.

So I did the comparison myself. I took the 15 most popular VPNs, scored each one from 1 to 10 on 9 features, put every score in one table you can sort, and added the real price next to a plain link to each provider's own site. That table is the whole product.

What this site is not

• Not a business. There is no company behind this, no sponsors, no ads and no affiliate links. I earn nothing if you buy a VPN through this site.
• Not pay-to-rank. No provider has paid for a score, a position, or to be included, and none can.
• Not the final word. The scores are my opinion, based on my own testing and public information. The method is on the How I score page so you can judge it for yourself.

How you can help

If a score looks wrong, or a provider I should add is missing, send me a message. Tell me what you tested and what you saw. I re-test and update the table when someone makes a good case.
